microphone tube amplifier model - Jürgen Schuhmacher 2001

The distortion effects are calculated the same way as with the formerly used audio DSP board having a tube amplifier model instantiated. The module initially was intended to use for enhancing vocal recordings as known from vacuum tubes in microhpones. Later more effects had been added, like resonances as we know them from mechanical systems to create wood behaviour in amps. The input wave generated by VA-modeling of a string guitar is thus changed into a more rich signal coming close to a realistic amp signal.
